  • Q What precautions should be taken when cutting anti-corrosion coated steel pipes?

    A
Use sharp, dedicated pipe cutting tools to avoid crushing or peeling the coating. Do not use flame cutting, as high temperature will burn and damage the inner and outer anti-corrosion layers.
Keep the cutting speed steady and low to reduce friction heat. Clean up dust and debris on the pipe surface and cutting section immediately after cutting.
Treat the cut end promptly with matching repair coating to seal the exposed steel base and prevent rust and corrosion.
Ensure the pipe cut is perpendicular to the pipe axis to guarantee subsequent installation accuracy.
  • Q The plastic/anti-corrosion coating peels off easily during pipe grooving. How to solve this problem?

    A
Adjust the grooving machine to standard parameters strictly. Control the grooving depth and feeding speed; excessive depth or fast feeding will squeeze and crack the coating.
Check the roller and groove wheel regularly to keep them smooth without burrs, so as not to scratch the pipe surface coating.
Cool the contact part during grooving to lower surface temperature and prevent the coating from softening and falling off due to heat.
For local minor coating damage after grooving, apply special repair paint to restore the anti-corrosion performance.
  • Q When installing grooved clamps, electric tools often damage the galvanized layer of bolts, leading to rust. How to avoid it?

    A
Control the torque of electric wrenches reasonably. Do not over-tighten the bolts, which will scratch and wear the galvanized coating.
Prefer hand tools for final tightening if conditions permit, to reduce damage to the galvanized layer.
Select high-quality galvanized bolts with thick zinc coating. Apply anti-rust grease on bolt threads before installation.
For bolts with partially damaged galvanized layers after installation, daub anti-rust paint on the damaged area for protection.
  • Q What is the standard fixed length for general anti-corrosion steel pipes?

A The conventional factory fixed length is 6 meters per piece. Custom lengths can be produced according to project requirements on request.
  • Q What packaging standards are adopted for pipes for sea shipment? What about container loading capacity and packaging frames?

    A
Packaging frame: Pipes are bundled with dedicated galvanized steel frames/wooden frames. Cushion materials are added between pipes to avoid collision, friction and coating damage. Both ends of each pipe are fitted with plastic end caps to prevent dirt, moisture and impact.
Container loading: Based on standard 6m-length pipes and common pipe diameters, we adopt layered and orderly stacking. Loading quantity is calculated by pipe diameter, wall thickness and container specification (20GP/40GP/40HQ). All bundles are firmly fixed with strapping to prevent shifting during sea transit.
Extra protection: Waterproof plastic film is wrapped outside the whole bundle to resist sea wind, moisture and salt spray, ensuring the pipes stay intact during long-distance marine transportation.
